		Disneyland's 50th anniversary was officially July 17, 2005, but the celebration was launched on May 5, 2005 in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Morgan and extensive crew, covered the theme park to accommodate the myriad of events celebration “The Happiest Homecoming on Earth.” The ceremony began with a dedication from then-Disney CEO Michael Eisner and included fireworks, speeches from Julie Andrews - the official ambassador for the 50th anniversary celebrations, Art Linkletter and musical performances by Christina Aguilera and LeAnn Rimes. A video conference featured celebrities at the Magic Kingdom (the only live video conference), Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland Paris and the construction site of Hong Kong Disneyland. Before the ceremony, a media presentation was held in Disney's California Adventure by Disneyland Resort president Matt Ouimet.
