1 0,000 screaming music fans packed Glendale Arena in Glendale, AZ for the privilege of watching pop superstar Jessica Simpson host Fox’s Summer Music Mania along with top-notch perfomances by such artists as Nelly, 3 Doors Down, Chingy, Ludacris, Rooney and Simpson’s sister, Ashlee.The concert special aired on June 1, 2004. Several cameras were scattered around the arena, including two on booms that were used to swoop over the audience. Each act performed one or two of its biggest hits and the audience was treated to a real behind-the-scenes peek at the taping of a music variety show. |
