Screaming teenagers, famous bands, loud music and trendy celebrities are all part of Nickelodeon’s interstitial show TEENick. DPI’s very own Kim Killingsworth knows exactly how to design the lighting to appeal to this show’s teenage demographic every Friday and Saturday night. TEENick has been described as “a young David Letterman variety type talk shown that is shown in between other Nickelodeon shows, lasting from 10 seconds to 3 minutes.” This particular episode was taped at The Sportsmen’s Lodge pool and special guests included the stars from the new movie “Aquamarine”; Sarah Paxton, JoJo, and Emma Roberts. The ever-changing locations and sets make this show in particular a challenge to light, but Kim Killingsworth never misses a cue. Cathy Cambria, the producer of the show, consistently has drawn a wide range of talent to visit the show such as Beyonce, Zoe, Amanda Bynes and Tom Cruise.
